Chief Erick Holsey

Chief Holsey is a 31-year veteran of the Oregon Fire Service and is delighted to serve the constituents of La Pine Rural Fire Protection District. He has extensive experience within the Oregon Fire and EMS community, and has previously served in Division Chief assignments for Emergency Medical Services and Fire Operations for transporting fire districts. Chief Holsey has a Bachelor Degree in Fire Administration with a minor in chemistry along with degrees in EMS and Fire Suppression. He has maintained EMT status since 1993 and is a nationally registered paramedic since 1998. Chief Holsey is also a US Army Veteran.

Deputy Chief Jeremy Mendola

Chief Mendola joined La Pine Fire District in 2026. He is a 30-year veteran of the fire service, bringing deep operational and executive leadership experience to his roles. He spent over 23 years serving the Phoenix Metro area, including the Mesa Fire and Medical Department, where he built a career spanning frontline emergency response, training, and EMS leadership. A nationally registered paramedic since 2001, Chief Mendola’s has taught college-level fire science and public safety programs, mentoring the next generation of first responders. In 2020, Jeremy relocated to the Pacific Northwest to continue his fire service career at the executive officer level, most recently serving as a Deputy Fire Chief of Operations in Washington. He holds an A.A.S. in Fire Science, a B.S. in Public Safety Administration, and an M.S. in Organizational Leadership.

Andy joined us in 2026 from a well-known accounting firm in Bend and has extensive fiscal experience in the private sector.

Sandi joined us in 2025 from the private sector with extensive experience in real estate office management. She takes care of our walk in clients, assists our Admin Team, and oversees HR and Payroll.
